Seller Return Policies
Individual sellers on Buy Sell Disc set their own return policies. Common policies include:
- No Returns: All sales final (common for used discs)
- 7-Day Returns: Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery
- 14-Day Returns: Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery
- 30-Day Returns: Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery
- Defect Only: Returns only for defective or damaged items

Requesting a Return
To request a return:
- Contact the seller directly through our messaging system
- Explain the reason for the return (wrong item, defective, changed mind, etc.)
- Provide photos if the item is damaged or defective
- Wait for the seller's response and return authorization
- If approved, ship the item back using the seller's provided instructions
- Receive your refund once the seller confirms receipt
Response Time: Sellers are expected to respond to return requests within 48 hours.
Return Conditions
Most sellers require that returned items:
- Are in the same condition as when received
- Include all original packaging and accessories (if any)
- Are returned within the seller's specified timeframe
- Are shipped back with tracking (you may be responsible for return shipping costs)
Items that show signs of use, damage after delivery, or are missing components may not be eligible for a full refund.
Refund Processing
Once a seller approves and receives your return:
- The seller inspects the item to ensure it meets return conditions
- If approved, the seller issues a refund through our system
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method
- Refund processing typically takes 5-10 business days to appear in your account
Partial Refunds: Sellers may issue partial refunds for items returned in less than original condition or without original packaging.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item:
- Take photos of the damage (packaging and item) within 48 hours of delivery
- Contact the seller immediately with photos
- Most sellers will offer a replacement or full refund
- The seller typically covers return shipping for defects
Time Limit: Report damage or defects within 48 hours of delivery for best results.
Shipping Costs
Who Pays for Return Shipping?
- Buyer's Responsibility: If you changed your mind or ordered the wrong item, you typically pay for return shipping.
- Seller's Responsibility: If the item is defective, damaged, or not as described, the seller typically covers return shipping.
- Restocking Fees: Some sellers charge restocking fees (typically 10-20%) for returns. Check the seller's policy before purchasing.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable:
- Items marked "All Sales Final" or "No Returns" in the listing
- Personalized or custom-made discs (unless defective or damaged)
- Items on clearance or final sale
- Items damaged after delivery due to buyer misuse or negligence
Buyer Protection
While Buy Sell Disc facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers, we provide the following buyer protections:
- Secure Payments: All payments processed through Stripe with buyer protection
- Dispute Resolution: We mediate disputes between buyers and sellers when needed
- Fraud Prevention: Active monitoring for fraudulent listings and sellers
- Seller Accountability: Sellers with excessive complaints may be suspended
Dispute Resolution
If you cannot resolve a return or refund issue with a seller:
- Attempt to communicate directly with the seller first (keep all messages on our platform)
- If unresolved after 7 days, contact Buy Sell Disc support
- Provide your order number and explanation of the issue
- Include any relevant evidence (photos, messages, tracking info)
- Our support team will review and mediate the dispute within 3-5 business days
Escalation: For serious disputes involving fraud or seller violations, we may issue refunds directly and take action against the seller's account.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to work with the seller and our support team before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks should be a last resort.
Important: Initiating a chargeback may result in account suspension pending resolution, as chargebacks can harm sellers who acted in good faith.
Exceptions
Buy Sell Disc reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis. Exceptions may include:
- Platform errors that resulted in incorrect pricing or product information
- Seller account suspension or termination (we will facilitate refunds for pending orders)
- Fraudulent seller activity
- Violation of our Terms of Service
